Rich Day Named VP of Operations, United Book Press

BALTIMORE, MD (March 24, 2015) – Ironmark has named Rich Day as Vice President of Operations for its newly acquired book publishing division, United Book Press. The multi-million dollar print and communications services company based in Howard County, MD, last month acquired UBP, a $13 million family-owned book and journal manufacturer.

In his new position, Day will oversee the day-to-day operations of UBP. He will also serve as liaison between the UBP plant in Baltimore and Ironmark’s headquarters in Annapolis Junction, MD.

“This is a great time to join the Ironmark team and I’m looking forward to this exciting opportunity with a growing company,” Day said.

Day brings more than 20 years of management experience in the print industry to United Book Press. Most recently, Day spent eight years as Operations Manager for GraphTec in Jessup, MD and prior to that, was the plant manager for Beard Printing in York, PA. He holds an Associate of Arts degree in Business Administration and Management from York College of Pennsylvania.
